Repeater XR – Firmware and Configuration Update

The following is the latest stable firmware and configuration for the JEFA Tech Repeater XR:

Download and save the following firmware and configuration to your computer:

• PICO FIRMWARE UPDATE FILE
• PICO CONFIGURATION FILE
• AIRGATEWAY FIRMWARE UPDATE FILE
• AIRGATEWAY CONFIGURATION FILE

1. Connect to your repeater’s private WiFi network.  It may be called “jefatech-repeater” or a custom name that you created.
2. Go to the PICO control panel at http://192.168.123.1
3. Click the System Tab
4. Near the top right, you will see “Upload Firmware”. Click the “Choose File” button and select the PICO-FIRMWARE.bin file that you downloaded
5. Click “Upload” button
6. A blue bar will appear at the top of the page, click “Update”
   
7. Wait for firmware update to complete
8. Once the update has completed, log into the PICO again at http://192.168.123.1
9. Click on the System Tab
10. Near the bottom right, look for “Upload Configuration”. Click the browse button and select the PICOM2.cfg file that you downloaded
11. Click the “Upload” button
12. A blue bar will appear the top of the page, click “Apply”
    
13. Wait one minute for the upload to complete. Your PICO is now up to date and reprogrammed.
14. Go to the AIRGATEWAY control panel at http://192.168.123.2
15. Click the System Tab
16. Near the top right, you will see “Upload Firmware”. Click the “Choose File” button and select the AIRGATEWAY-FIRMWARE.bin file that you downloaded
17. Click “Upload” button
18. A blue bar will appear at the top of the page, click “Update”
    
19. Wait for firmware update to complete
20. Check that you are still connected to your repeater’s private WiFi network
21. Log into the AIRGATEWAY control panel again at http://192.168.123.2
22. Click on the System Tab
23. Near the bottom right, look for “Upload Configuration”. Click the browse button and select the AIRGATEWAY.cfg file that you downloaded
24. Click the “Upload” button
25. A blue bar will appear the top of the page, click “Apply”
    
26. Wait one minute for the upload to complete. Your AIRGATEWAY is now up to date and reprogrammed.

Note that your AIRGATEWAY will be broadcasting the default “jefatech-repeater” network.  You may choose to change it to your own name and add a password.
