How to set a static IP address for device programming – WINDOWS

The following article describes how to set a static IP address of 192.168.1.21 in Windows to apply programming to the JEFA Tech Repeater XR.

  1. Right-Click on the network icon in the system tray (bottom right near the clock)
  2. Click “Open Network and Sharing Center”
  3. In the left margin, click “Change adapter settings”
  4. Right click your WiFi adapter and choose Properties
  5. Click Internet Protocol Version 4 and click Properties
  6. Select “Use the following IP address” and enter 192.168.1.21 for IP Address and 255.255.255.0 for Subnet mask.  Leave all other boxes blank.  Click OK
  7. Click OK until you are back to the Network and Sharing Center.  Close Network and Sharing Center

When you are done programming your device, follow the same steps as above, but you will need to return back to “Obtain an IP address automatically” and “Obtain DNS server address automatically” as shown:
