A hard reset of the JEFA Tech Repeater XR PLUS is only needed if you have forgotten your admin password to log into the control panel, or if some setting was changed that is preventing you from accessing the control panel. Once you hard reset, reprogramming of the unit will be required which requires a computer (Windows or MAC). It can not be reprogrammed with a smartphone or tablet.
There are two components to the XR that are reset and managed independently:
BULLET = sliver aluminum outdoor unit – this device receives the source WiFi
AIRGATEWAY: black indoor unit – this device broadcasts your private WiFi network
