This low profile 3G/4G antenna is intended for permanent installation in the roof of a vehicle or top of a metal kiosk. Installation requires drilling a hole, inserting the antenna, and securing with the included nut. The antenna has an N Female connector which is inside the vehicle or kiosk after installation. For Cradlepoint, this antenna also requires a cable.
The antenna requires a metal ground plane to work properly. This is provided by the metal roof or top of the kiosk. The antenna will not work with a fiberglass or other non-metal mounting surface.
