Do you have a laptop with an internal Mini-PCI card? You can use this pigtail to give yourself a permanent, external antenna connection. To do this, you will need to drill an approximate 1/4" hole in your laptop case to mount the RP-SMA bulkhead connector. Then connect the U.FL connector to your Mini-PCI wireless card, and you are all set! Many of our customers have done this successfully, but any modifications like this are at your own risk! As long as you are careful when you drill the hole, you should not have a problem.
